MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631018105 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Patna, Bihar, on Feb. 18, for 'system and method of an intelligent coupling based controller for robot manipulator.'
Inventor(s) include Kumari, Vinita; and Kumar, Anupam.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system (100) and a method (600) of controlling a robotic manipulator (200). The system (100) includes a reference trajectory generation unit (108) that provides desired position and velocity profiles for each link, while a trajectory sensing unit (110) supplies measured motion feedback. The system (100) computes tracking errors using a comparison unit (114) from aligned reference and measured trajectories and processes errors through a Fractional Order Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Controller (FOIT2FLC) (104) to produce a primary control output that addresses nonlinear dynamics and uncertainty. The system (100) processes cross-link error information through a Coupling Fractional Order Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Controller (CFOIT2FLC) (106) to generate coupling suppression that suppresses inter-link interactions. The system (100) combines primary and coupling outputs to derive link-specific control commands. An actuator interface (112) translates derived commands into actuation signals for joint motors, enabling trajectory tracking."
