MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421028892 A) filed by Kavirise Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Maharashtra, on July 9, 2024, for 'system and method for wirelessly charging an electric vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Kavita Kiran Prasad.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments herein disclose a system 100 and a method for wireless charging of an electric vehicle 110 using a lifting unit 106. The system 100 initiates 5 by detecting a vehicle at a charging location. Upon detection via the vehicle detection sensor 102, an ultrasonic sensor 204 is activated to measure the gap between the vehicle and the transmitter pad. A linear actuator 210 adjusts the pad's height to achieve the optimal air gap for efficient power transfer. Once aligned, the wireless charging process begins and 10 continues until completion. After charging, the lifting unit 106 lowers the transmitter pad to its original position, ensuring it is safely housed. The system 100 then resets for the next vehicle. This fully automated sequence enhances operational safety, charging efficiency, and reduces the need for manual intervention, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments."
