MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621004472 A) filed by Manas Mahesh Garge; Lakhichand Khushal Patil; and Prachi Mahesh Garge, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 16, for 'system and method for vehicular accident detection and authenticated incident reporting.'

Inventor(s) include Manas Mahesh Garge; and Lakhichand Khushal Patil.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and method for vehicular accident detection and authenticated incident reporting. The system (100) comprises a mobile computing device (102) associated with a vehicle (108), the mobile computing device including one or more motion sensors (102a-1...102a-n) configured to generate motion and orientation signals and a location sensing unit (102b) configured to generate speed and geographic position signals. A processing and control unit (104), operatively coupled to the mobile computing device, receives the sensor signals and computes derived physical parameters including deceleration magnitude, angular tilt, speed variation, and vehicle immobility duration. The processing and control unit evaluates the derived physical parameters against stored threshold conditions to generate a verified accident state and initiates a confirmation time interval. A communication interface (106) transmits authenticated incident data signals generated from integrity-verified sensor data and a unique incident identifier to a plurality of pre-authorized external system entities (110)."
