MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202221002309 A) filed by Dimension Nxg Pvt. Ltd., Thane, Maharashtra, on Jan. 14, 2022, for 'system and method for target engagement from armoured vehicle using head mounted display.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system and method for target engagement from an armoured vehicle for tactical imaging and providing enhanced situational awareness cues to the operator equipped with a head mounted display is proposed. The advanced camera unit equipped with AI capabilities assists in automatic detection, identification, localization and prioritization of multiple targets at any given time besides providing intelligent situational cues to the operator based on plurality of parameters. The situation cues displayed intelligibly over the head mounted display help the operators make a quick, effective and consensual decision for target engagement using master slave viewing mode. Thus, the operator can flawlessly identify, track, engage the target, operate the weaponry in accordance with predetermined priority and situational cues, and hit it accurately in a single shot."
