MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086527 A) filed by General Electric Technology Gmbh, Baden, Switzerland, on Dec. 18, 2023, for 'system and method for sorbent-based gas capture using heat pipes.'
Inventor(s) include Dhinesh Thanganadar; Todd Andrew Jankowski; Anindya Kanti De; and Subrata Pal.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system includes a gas capture system having an adsorber with a sorbent material, wherein the adsorber is configured to adsorb an undesirable gas from a gas flow into the sorbent material in an adsorption mode, and desorb the undesirable gas from the sorbent material in a desorption mode. The gas capture system further includes at least one heat pipe configured to transfer heat away from the sorbent material during the adsorption mode."
