MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641048756 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 16, for 'system and method for selective audio capture and processing.'
Inventor(s) include Saurav Gupta; Chandramauleshwar Roy; Pankaj Shukla; Avishkar Jaiswal; Harsh Yadav; Shruti Sameeksha Pradhan; and Arnav Vats.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system (100) for audio processing. The system (100) may include an analog audio sensor (102) to generate an analog signal when an ambient sound level is greater than a loudness threshold, a neural audio sensor (104) coupled to the analog audio sensor (102), the neural audio sensor (104) detects a keyword from the analog signal, a digital audio sensor (106) coupled to the neural audio sensor (104), the digital audio sensor (106) records an audio stream when the keyword is detected, and a control unit (202) operatively coupled with the digital audio sensor (106), wherein the control unit (202) is caused to process the audio stream through a natural language processing (NLP) model (318) to obtain an NLP output and transmit a set of data packets indicative of the NLP output to a computing device (108)."
