MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521130651 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 23, 2025, for 'system and method for renewable energy forecasting through integrated solar generation and meteorological data processing.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shreyas Rajendra Hole.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and method for enhanced renewable energy forecasting through integrated analysis of solar power generation and meteorological data. The system acquires heterogeneous inverter-level generation data, including direct current power, alternating current power, daily yield, and total yield, along with plant-level meteorological parameters such as ambient temperature, module temperature, and irradiation. The collected datasets are temporally standardized, synchronized, and merged to form an integrated dataset for comprehensive analysis. Exploratory analytics identify operational patterns, inverter performance characteristics, and environmental correlations using statistical and anomaly detection techniques. Solar power generation is forecast using time series models, including seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average with exogenous variables and additive time series models. Inverter efficiency is evaluated through DC-AC conversion analysis to detect degradation and inefficiencies. The system further generates actionable recommendations for grid management, maintenance scheduling, and operational optimization, thereby improving forecasting accuracy and overall solar plant performance."
