MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517039095 A) filed by Skillz Platform Inc., Las Vegas, on April 23, for 'system and method for remotely controlling cloud-based client applications.'

Inventor(s) include Vroom, Matthew, Leigh; Glory, Meidad; and Bhardwaj, Vatsal.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for remotely controlling cloud-based client applications. The method can include: receiving a first request from a client device to initiate an interactive session with an application and a second request from a controller to connect to the interactive session; reserving, in response to the first request, an application engine within which the application executes remotely from the client device and the controller; connecting, in response to the second request, to the controller separately from the client device; receiving interaction data with first media data associated with the application via the controller as the first media data is displayed via a display application; modifying the application executing within the application engine based on the interaction data; and providing second media data associated with the modified application via the display application for interaction via the controller."
