MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611050901 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on April 21, for 'system and method for real time replication and parameter identification of grid connected power electronic inverter.'
Inventor(s) include Dutt, Keshav; and Kumar, Nishant.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a system (100) for real-time digital replication and parameter identification of a grid-connected inverter. The system includes a plurality of sensors (106) configured to measure electrical signals associated with inverter operation (102), including inverter voltages, inverter currents, switching states, and DC-link signals. A processing unit (108) operatively coupled to the sensors (106) is configured to execute a hybrid digital twin (502) of the inverter (102) based on the measured electrical signals to maintain a digital replica of inverter behaviour. The hybrid twin (502) generates predicted electrical outputs and trajectories of at least one inverter component corresponding to the measured electrical signals. By correlating the predicted electrical outputs with the measured signals, the system identifies physical parameters associated with a component representing operational characteristics. The system further determines parameter drift by comparing identified physical parameters with corresponding parameters from earlier execution to diagnose degradation or abnormal operation continuously."
