MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079927 A) filed by Wineural Technologies Private Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 24, 2024, for 'system and method for processing roadway data to detect road deformities.'
Inventor(s) include Sharad Kumar Pandey; and Sartaj Singh Sidhu.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a system and a method for processing roadway data to detect one or more road deformities. The system (102) comprises sensors (108) to generate the raw roadway data during roadway surveillance. A bespoke protocol is used to packetize the roadway data into structured packets for optimal transmission to a graphics processing unit (GPU)-based processing unit. The system (102) depacketizes the received structured packets by reconstructing the roadway data and storing it in one or more databases (104). A proprietary synchronization model aligns the reconstructed data with geospatial coordinates and timestamps, ensuring millisecond-level accuracy. The synchronized data is processed using one or more artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models trained on structured datasets to detect road deformities such as potholes and cracks. The system (102) ensures reliable data handling, real-time processing, and accurate detection, making it essential for road safety and infrastructure monitoring."
