MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134114 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education And Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'system and method for predictive hospital resource and bed management.'
Inventor(s) include Hari Hara Subramanyan P. V; Lambodaran G; Durga B; and Fabiola M Dhanraj.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and method for hospital capacity can be managed through predictive analytics and using a combination of technical governance over hospital infrastructure, hospital policies, and hospital management. All of the hospital's Information, Clinical, Operational, Infrastructure, and Staff resources will be collected and processed to validate hospital clinical-operational causality, allowing accurate predictions of the patient inflow and outflow trajectories. All of the hospital's bed locations will have an associated infrastructure-bound state token indicating the current usable condition of the bed based on oxygen availability, power continuity and readiness of equipment, infection control status, and manpower readiness. The implemented machine-executable constraints for enforcement of applicable hospital policies can be evaluated for future through stress simulation, enabling hospitals to establish the bed allocations, utilizing a closed-loop procedure, by assessing how they met the defined conditions of causality validation, infrastructure readiness, policy compliance, and future feasibility based on the current operational and clinical requirements. The newly disclosed hospital systems and methods will enable hospitals to change predictive management processes from informal advisory analysis to formal, enforceable and resilient infrastructures enabling dynamic hospital environments."
