According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for prediction of plant diseases is disclosed. The system (100) comprises an image acquisition unit (106) to receive images of plant elements from an imaging unit (102). The system (100) is configured to pre-process the received images of the plant elements; isolate segments depicting the plant elements from the pre-processed images of the plant elements; and extract features from the isolated segments using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models (110); deploy advanced deep learning architectures (112) to identify and classify key features from the extracted features; and compare the identified key features with a training dataset (114). The system (100) is further configured to classify the corresponding images of the plant elements into one of predefined categories such as a healthy category or a diseased category. The system (100) ensures flexibility in application across different scales of farming, from smallholdings to large commercial operations."
