MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115926 A) filed by IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 24, 2025, for 'system and method for predicting and influencing green product purchase intention among young consumers.'

Inventor(s) include Ms. Anamika Chaturvedi.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a system and method for predicting and influencing the intention of young consumers to purchase environmentally sustainable products. The system integrates behavioural theory variables, real-time social normative signals, environmental concern indicators, and consumer trust metrics to compute an intention score and purchase conversion probability using a machine learning prediction engine. An intervention decision module dynamically selects and deploys targeted persuasive actions including personalized messages, incentives, and normative cues based on predicted outcomes and cost constraints. A feedback loop captures post-intervention behaviour, including actual purchase actions, to retrain and refine the predictive models and intervention logic. The invention enables marketers and organizations to improve sustainability-related consumer engagement through data-driven and adaptive behavioural influence mechanisms."
