MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134442 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'system and method for predicting air quality.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for monitoring and predicting air quality in an urban area is disclosed. The system (100) comprising air quality sensing sources (102) adapted to generate environmental data associated with the urban area and meteorological data sources (104) adapted to provide weather-related data corresponding to the urban area. The system (100) is configured to receive and aggregate the environmental data and the meteorological data; process the aggregated data to determine pollutant concentration levels; and generate predicted air quality index values for a future time interval based on the processed data. The system (100) supports early warning mechanisms and proactive public health and administrative responses."
