MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511092149 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, on Sept. 25, for 'system and method for performing agricultural operations in a field.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a system for performing agricultural operations in a field. The system comprises a processor and a network module adapted to communicate with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (108) and an unmanned land vehicle (ULV) (110). The processor (104) is configured to receive, at a predefined interval, a plurality of images of the field captured by the UAV (108) and a geolocation data associated with the plurality of images. Further, the processor (104) is configured to generate a 3-Dimentional (3D) field model using the plurality of images and the geolocation data, and process a portion of the 3D field model to determine field conditions corresponding to the portion. Furthermore, the processor (104) is configured to determine at least one agricultural operation to be performed based on the determined field conditions, and generate an actuation signal for the ULV (110) to perform the determined at least one agricultural operation."
