Inventor(s) include Ganesh Natesan; Manikandan Muthu; Dhyan Vasudeva Gowda; and Purnesh Shivarudrappa Vidhyadhara.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a system (100) for medical document processing includes a data ingestion unit (102) configured to receive unstructured clinical documents and an artificial-intelligence-powered processor (104) that performs multi-signal document-type determination using user hints, filename patterns, and content analysis. The processor (104) segments the document, generates biomedical embeddings, and retrieves relevant text using a FAISS-based index with HNSW structures. A hybrid entity-extraction arrangement identifies medical entities and contextual relationships. The processor (104) generates a structured summary using dynamically selected large-language-model resources, applies controlled prompting, evaluates summary quality, and approves or rejects output. From an approved summary, the processor (104) produces synchronized formats including PDF, editable documents, FHIR-compliant JSON, and QR codes. A data-lifecycle management engine applies configurable retention, secure deletion, and encrypted storage policies. The present disclosure also relates to a method (200) for medical document processing."
