MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611023731 A) filed by Fitsol Supply Chain Solutions Private Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, on Feb. 27, for 'system and method for managing logistics assets using ble-based identification with fault handling.'

Inventor(s) include Akshay Tandon; Onkar Madan; and Anindita Chowdhury.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) and a method for managing logistics assets (102A-C) using Bluetooth Low Energy based identification with fault handling are disclosed. The system includes a plurality of BLE beacons (104A-C) affixed to corresponding logistics assets and a mobile computing device (108) configured to perform continuous or periodic background BLE scanning to detect a unique identifier (106A-C) broadcast by each BLE beacon and generate timestamped observation data. The system (100) determines a given BLE beacon (104A) amongst the plurality of BLE beacons to be faulty when the corresponding unique identifier (106A) is not detected within a predetermined time period. Upon fault detection, BLE-based identification is disabled and at least one alternate identification process is selected from scanning an optical code associated with each logistics asset using the camera (112), and a manual identifier input from the user interface (114)."
