MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115538 A) filed by Nims University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 22, 2025, for 'system and method for incentivizing charitable donations.'
Inventor(s) include Ankit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) and method (200) for incentivizing charitable donations by granting time-priority access to essential services during emergencies. The system (100) includes a donor entity (101) providing proactive contributions such as blood, medical supplies, financial aid, or specialized services. These contributions are authenticated by a donation verification entity (102) using secure protocols. A decentralized smart contract (103) deployed on a blockchain automatically issues a unique, non-transferable time-priority donation token bound to the donor's digital identity. A token management module (104) tracks issuance, validity, and renewal based on real-time resource availability, while an emergency declaration mechanism (104) activates priority allocation upon predefined triggers. A priority access mechanism (105) ensures equitable allocation of limited resources. The method (200) complements this by verifying contributions, issuing tokens, enabling beneficiary linkage, validating redemption, and recording all transactions in an immutable ledger to ensure fairness, transparency, and scalability."
