MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441011893 A) filed by Flipkart Internet Private Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Feb. 20, 2024, for 'system and method for improving success rate of routing payment gateways.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a payment gateway routing system (108) and a method (300) thereof. The system (108) receives a request from a user device (104), where the request is associated with a transaction initiated by a user (102). The system (108) routes the transaction through one or more payment gateways. The system (108) determines at least one payment gateway that comprises a corresponding Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) value within a predefined threshold for completing a payment process. In response to a positive determination, the system (108) computes a score and completes the transaction through the payment gateway."
