MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621028243 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on March 10, for 'system and method for facilitating remote medical consultation.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for facilitating remote medical consultation at primary healthcare facilities comprises a sensor assembly (102) configured to measure biometric parameters, an imaging device (104) configured to capture visual examination data, a power supply (106) electrically coupled to the sensor assembly (102) and the imaging device (104), and a hardware processor (108) operatively coupled to the sensor assembly (102), the imaging device (104), and the power supply (106). The hardware processor (108) receives biometric measurement data from the sensor assembly (102) and image data from the imaging device (104), aggregates the biometric measurement data and the image data into consultation records, stores the consultation records wherein the consultation records are retained during periods when network connectivity is unavailable, monitors a cellular network availability status and detects restoration of the network connectivity, and transmits the stored consultation records to a remote server upon detected restoration to facilitate remote medical consultation."
