MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071354 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Sept. 20, 2024, for 'system and method for facilitating energy distribution in vehicle-to-everything (v2x) communities.'
Inventor(s) include Jacob John; Jaya Saxena; and Pallavi Chowlahiriyur Ramesh.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system (106) and a method (300) for facilitating energy distribution from vehicles (102). The system (106) receives a load demanded by one or more houses (104), and a state of charge of the vehicles (102). For each house (104), the system (106) filters the vehicles (102) based on the corresponding state of charge. The system (106) further filters the first list based on corresponding net power loss expected during distribution of energy from each vehicle (102), to obtain a second list of vehicles. The system (106) transmits a request seeking permission to a computing device (108) of owners of each vehicle (102) in the second list for using energy in the vehicles (102). The system (106) distributes the energy from the vehicle (102) accepted by owners and selected by operators of the house (104), thereby efficiently facilitating energy transfer in a vehicle-to-everything community (100)."
