MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063957 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on May 20, for 'system and method for dual-axis solar tracking and energy optimization.'

Inventor(s) include Sathya Vani Bandela; M. Viswanath Rao; and T. Pavankalyan.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dual-axis solar tracking system (100) is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a solar panel (102) to generate electrical energy, light dependent resistors (104) to sense incident light intensity and generate corresponding electrical signals. The system (100) is configured to receive the electrical signals, process the electrical signals, and, determine a directional deviation. The system (100) comprises a first servo motor (108) and a second servo motor (110) to adjust the solar panel (102) along a horizontal axis and a vertical axis. The system (100) detects directional light intensity variations, determine positional deviation of a solar panel (102), and perform controlled alignment of the solar panel (102). The system (100) improves adaptation of the solar panel (102) to the dynamic path of the sun through controlled movement along perpendicular horizontal and vertical axes facilitated by the first servo motor (108) and the second servo motor (110)."
