MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621023726 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Feb. 27, for 'system and method for diaper health monitoring.'

Inventor(s) include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Dr. Sapna Dabade; Jay Yadav; Vishal Kumar; and Dr. Abhay Kothari.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system and method for diaper health monitoring comprises a diaper structure (104) configured to be worn, a multi-sensor array (106) embedded within or attached to the diaper structure (104) configured to detect chemical compounds, moisture, and temperature, and a hardware processor (108) operatively coupled to the multi-sensor array (106). The hardware processor (108) obtains sensor readings from the multi-sensor array (106) at defined time intervals, determines a wetness condition and a plurality of chemical indicators based on the sensor readings, generates a health alert when a chemical indicator exceeds a predefined threshold, and wirelessly transmits the health alert to a caregiver device (110). The hardware processor (108) maintains baseline health profiles and compares current readings to identify abnormal health conditions. The hardware processor (108) applies trained machine learning models to reduce false alarms and analyzes readings from multiple systems."
