MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134608 A) filed by Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'system and method for diagnostic and repair of industrial power asset.'
Inventor(s) include Saurabh Deshmane; Rakshaykumar Engineer; Ellapan Sampath; Ramanan Selvam; and Mahesh Nikam.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method and a system (102) for repairing an industrial power asset. The method comprises obtaining, by a processor (204), data comprising one or more of text data, video data, audio data, and image data associated with the industrial power asset. An asset identifier and one or more fault codes comprising a Suspect Parameter Number and a Failure Mode Identifier are extracted from the data. Historical data associated with the industrial power asset and historical fault data associated with a model type are obtained for contextual analysis. The processor (204) computes a root-cause fault and an induced symptom fault based on the fault codes and a sensor health index derived from sensor telemetry received from an IoT gateway. The sensor health index is indicative of an incipient failure condition. Based on the identified faults, a repair action comprising a sequence of repair actions is generated. The repair action may be transmitted to one or more devices including smart glasses, mobile devices, tablet devices, or computing devices."
