According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system for determining a charging requirement for an electric vehicle. The system comprises a user interface arranged to receive a travel-distance input indicative of a distance to be travelled by the electric vehicle and a charging unit arranged to be coupled to the electric vehicle and configured to obtain vehicle-related parameters including a current state of charge, a model identifier and battery-related data. A server is coupled to the user interface and the charging unit. The server receives the travel-distance input and the vehicle-related parameters, determines a required state of charge for enabling the electric vehicle to traverse the distance indicated by the travel-distance input, determines a charging-duration estimate based on a charging category provided by the charging unit, determines a charging requirement comprising the required state of charge and the charging-duration estimate, and transmits the charging requirement to the user interface."
