MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115414 A) filed by IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'system and method for detecting retinopathy.'
Inventor(s) include Ms. Shaifali Sharma; and Dr. Ajay Kumar Sahu.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a system (100) for detecting retinopathy, the system (100) comprising: an input unit (102) configured to receive input from a user; an extraction unit (104) configured to extract features from the input based on KPCA feature extraction technique; a feature optimization unit (106) coupled to the extraction unit (104), and configured to optimize the features based on BFO optimization technique; and a classification unit (108) coupled to the feature optimization unit (106), and configured to classify the features based on the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) technique."
