MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621009359 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 29, for 'system and method for detecting neurological disorder.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system and method for detecting neurological disorder, comprising a housing 101, a seating unit 110 on a rotating platform 102 to accommodate a patient, a scanning unit 103 to acquire medical images of the patient sitting on the seating unit 110, a pair of horizontal sliding units 104 to translate the scanning unit 103 for scanning the patient properly, a physical assessment module to measure patient's motor responses, a cognitive analysis module to capture facial temperature variations and lip movements of the patient, a holographic projector 106 to provide instructions to the user, a Z-shaped structure to accommodate user legs, a Peltier unit to provide heat massage, a gel dispenser 208 to dispense gel patches for therapy, a worm gear drive arrangement for rotating the patient to analyse health metrics properly."
