MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511118114 A) filed by Sneak Tech Solution Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, on Nov. 27, 2025, for 'system and method for designing and fabricating a medial arch-supported orthotic sandal midsole.'
Inventor(s) include Tushank Jain; Ayan Maity; Chandan Ram; and Nitika Jain.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system and method for designing and fabricating a medial arch-supported orthotic sandal midsole for the correction of flatfoot deformity and for providing support to high-arched foot conditions. The invention utilizes a data-driven approach based on two-dimensional or three-dimensional foot scanning, extraction of multiple anthropometric parameters, and statistical correlation to population-based percentile datasets. These parameters, including foot length, foot width, arch height, heel dimensions, and ankle bone alignment, are processed to generate an anatomically accurate midsole geometry through a computer-aided design process. The generated three-dimensional model defines the medial longitudinal curvature, heel cup, and forefoot profile to achieve optimal biomechanical alignment and pressure redistribution. The system incorporates a classification technique that differentiates between flatfoot and high-arched conditions and automatically generates corrective or cushioning designs accordingly. The fabrication of the midsole is performed using computer numerical control milling or molding techniques employing polymeric or elastomeric materials with predefined stiffness and density characteristics."
