MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070302 A) filed by Inficold India Private Limited, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, on Sept. 17, 2024, for 'system and method for defrosting a heat exchanger.'

Inventor(s) include Goel, Nitin; Pokharna, Himanshu; Singhal, Aman; Patel, Est Dev; Ravikant; and Tritwal, Ankit.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system (202) and a method (500) for defrosting a heat exchanger (210). The system (202) may include a controller that is configured to measure a value of one or more parameters associated with the heat exchanger (210) using sensors and determine that the value of the one or more parameters exceeds a predetermined threshold based on the measurement to activate a first operation mode for defrosting the heat exchanger (210), using recovered heat from a condenser (208) connected to the heat exchanger (210). Therefore, the system (202) and the method (500) enhance energy efficiency and optimize operational costs by using the sensors to accurately estimate the need for defrosting and the controller to operate the defrosting process. This system (202) and method (500) reduce unnecessary energy consumption, minimize the risk of equipment damage, and maintain stable temperature control in a cooled space (204)."
