MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611007787 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, on Jan. 27, for 'system and method for creating a conversation sub-thread in a conversational artificial intelligence platform.'
Inventor(s) include Jain, Sarika; and Sadikot, Taha.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method (500) for creating a conversation sub-thread in a conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform (102) is disclosed. The method (500) includes receiving (502) a first user input indicating creation of the conversation sub-thread from a parent conversation thread. The method (500) includes extracting (504) a plurality of discrete knowledge elements from the parent conversation thread. The method (500) further includes presenting (506) the plurality of knowledge elements through a user interface with corresponding user-selectable interface elements. The method (500) further includes receiving (508) a second user input identifying a subset of the plurality of knowledge elements for inclusion in the conversation sub-thread. The method (500) further includes creating (510) the conversation sub-thread with a knowledge base comprising the subset of the plurality of knowledge elements. The method (500) enables selective knowledge propagation by allowing user-controlled selection of conversational context, thereby providing precise control over knowledge availability in conversation sub-threads."
