MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134404 A) filed by Ifb Industries Limited, Verna, Goa, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'system and method for controlling moisture content of fabrics in a washer-dryer.'
Inventor(s) include Lakhmani, Tarun; Dias, Llewellyn Anthony; Kundaikar, Saiesh Gajanan; Kumar, Lakshman; and Sonurlekar, Anushree Umesh.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for controlling moisture content of fabrics in a washer-dryer (104) is disclosed. The system includes a memory (204), at least one thermistor (106), and at least one processor (202). The processor (202) is configured to receive temperature data from the thermistor (106) and determine one or more temperature slopes based on the received temperature data for a pre-defined drying cycle of a drying operation in the washer-dryer (104), where each temperature slope indicates a change in rate of temperature in real-time. The processor (202) is further configured to determine a change in slope of at least one determined temperature slope of the one or more temperature slopes, where the change in slope indicates a variation in the moisture content of the fabrics within the washer-dryer (104). When the determined change in slope is elevated from a pre-defined threshold slope, the processor (202) halts the drying operations."
