MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511133131 A) filed by Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'system and method for autonomous threat detection in an environment.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system (100) and a method (300) for autonomous threat detection in an environment. The system (100) may include at least one camera (102) configured to capture visual data associated with a surrounding environment, at least one audio interface (104) configured to provide audio information to and receive user input from a user and an embedded processing unit (106) coupled to the at least one camera (102) and the audio interface (104). The embedded processing unit (106) may detect at least one of a threat and environmental hazard associated with the environment using an on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) model based on the captured visual data and the received user input. The embedded processing unit (106) may classify the detected at least one of the threats and the environmental hazard and generate a real-time alert to the user based on the threat and the environmental hazard."
