The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated vehicle immobilization system for preventing unauthorized vehicle movement and vehicle theft at controlled access points. The system integrates vehicle detection, authorization data evaluation, image-based vehicle identification, safety monitoring, mechanical immobilization, and communication functions within a unified hardware architecture. Vehicle authorization is determined through hierarchical verification using identification signals and visual analysis of vehicle number plates, followed by comparison with an unauthorized vehicle database. A processing and decision unit evaluates threat confidence and safety conditions prior to actuating a roadway-integrated mechanical immobilization mechanism. Continuous safety monitoring ensures prevention of unintended activation in the presence of pedestrians or non-target objects. Upon immobilization, alert information is transmitted to authorized monitoring entities. The invention enables real-time, reliable, and safety-validated vehicle immobilization without human intervention and is particularly suited for deployment in residential complexes, secured facilities, and restricted traffic zones under region-specific vehicle identification conditions."
