MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103568 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 28, 2025, for 'system and method for assessing stakeholder attitudes towards accreditation in higher education.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system and method for assessing stakeholder attitudes towards accreditation in higher education. The method determines the attitudes of the different stakeholders, including students, faculty members, and parents, towards the accreditation process in higher education. The method compises collecting stakeholder responses from students, alumni, faculty, and parents using structured questionnaire surveys; mapping up the responses to accreditation benchmarks and educational quality parameters; applying statistical techniques, including factor analysis & eigenvalue extraction, and rotated component matrices to identify key quality factors; gathering responses using Likert-scale questionnaires distributed via electronic media, including email, web-based platforms, and institutional systems; and assessment of reliability and validity by using principal component analysis (PCA), Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measures, and Bartlett's test. The system evaluates the three dimensions: i) level of awareness of accreditation, (ii) perceived benefits of accreditation, and (iii) the perceived relationship between accreditation grades and educational quality. Assessed parameters include curriculum flexibility, faculty performance, placement outcomes, affordability, research impact, industry engagement, and cultural relevance of the higher education institution."
