MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641042469 A) filed by Hindustan Institute Of Technology And Science, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 2, for 'system and method for assessing personality factors influencing career progress of women managers in the it sector with reference to chennai region.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention is a system for measuring personality elements for Women managers and Career advancement in the Information Technology sector. It is the only study of its kind for the Chennai region (India). The system consists of a user interface, a personality assessment module, a career progress data input module, a data storage unit, and an analytics engine. Women managers utilise an electronic personality questionnaire and submit their career progress, such as the number of promotions, current title, experience, and career satisfaction. and using statistical or machine learning methods, the analytics engine evaluates the information received from the Women Managers and identifies the correlations between the personality traits of Women Managers and Career Progress Indicators. The results are provided in both individual and organisational reports. The technology allows IT organisations to have an understanding of the impact of personality elements on the advancement of Women Managers and will help design Development interventions and Policies to support the advancement of Women Managers in the Information Technology (IT) sector."
