Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE POWER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT USING A PHOTOVOLTAIC BASED UNIFIED POWER QUALITY CONDITIONER ABSTRACT The present invention provides a system (100) for adaptive power quality improvement using a photovoltaic-based Unified Power Quality Conditioner. The system (100) integrates a solar PV array (101) with a DC-link (102) shared between a shunt active power filter (103) and a series active power filter (105). The shunt filter (103) mitigates current harmonics, while the series filter (105) addresses voltage disturbances via an injection transformer (104). An adaptive control strategy (110) ensures optimal power flow and harmonic suppression. The invention enables the simultaneous enhancement of grid power quality and the efficient injection of renewable energy. (Fig.1)
