MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056130 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Glass France, Courbevoie, France, on June 11, for 'system and method for acquiring a hyperspectral image of a real landscape under sky.'
Inventor(s) include Dumoulin, Olivier; Odent, Vincent; Gonzalez, Sara; Dheur, Marie-Christine; and Pons Guigues, Laurence.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a system for acquiring a hyperspectral image of a real landscape under sky, the system comprising: - a CCD hyperspectral camera provided with a fisheye lens of which the optical axis is oriented in a direction substantially perpendicular to the vertical direction of the astronomical zenith; - a rotatable moving plate configured to rotate the hyperspectral camera through an angle of 360 in the reference plane of the hyperspectral camera with the vertical direction of the astronomical zenith as axis of rotation; and - a diaphragm provided with a vertical orifice and arranged on the fisheye lens; wherein the width of the vertical orifice is less than or equal to 5 mm, preferably less than or equal to 4 mm, preferably less than or equal to 3 mm, and wherein the vertical axis of the vertical orifice is substantially parallel to the vertical direction of the astronomical zenith."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 27, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/083147.
