Inventor(s) include Dr. Anupam Kumar Azad; Dr. Sunita; Rajesh Chandra; Dr. Leema; Dr. Deeksha Arya; and Diksha Bharti.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a novel synergistic herbal formulation for neuroprotection and cognitive enhancement, comprising bioactive compounds from Cichorium intybus (Chicory), Ocimum sanctum (Tulsi), and Citrus limon (Lemon). The formulation integrates inulin, eugenol, rosmarinic acid, apigenin, and vitamin C to simultaneously modulate oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and gut-brain axis communication. The composition demonstrates superior neuroprotective efficacy through multi-target action on neuronal signaling pathways, synaptic integrity, and microbiota-mediated neurotransmitter regulation. The invention addresses limitations of conventional neurotherapeutic agents by providing a natural, biocompatible alternative with neuroregenerative potential suitable for long-term administration. The formulation can be developed as capsules, powders, beverages, or functional foods, enabling diverse pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications. In vitro and in vivo studies confirm enhanced cognitive performance, reduced neurodegeneration, and improved metabolic balance, establishing this invention as an effective preventive and restorative therapeutic approach for Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and age-related cognitive decline."
