MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544088679 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Sept. 17, 2025, for 'synchronization signal periodicity indication.'

Inventor(s) include Arman Ahmadzadeh; Alessio Marcone; and Frank Frederiksen.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to the field of telecommunication and in particular to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for indicating a periodicity of a synchronization signal and/or performing actions based on the periodicity. One of the aspects of the disclosure proposes an apparatus for communication. The apparatus is being caused at least to perform: receiving a broadcast channel including at least one of timing related payload bits, wherein the at least one of timing related payload bits indicates a periodicity of a synchronization signal; determining the periodicity based on the at least one of the timing related payload bits; and perform at least one action based on the determined periodicity."
