MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514002525 A) filed by Switchlab Inc.; Switchlab (SHANGHAI) Co. Ltd.; and Gaocheng Electronics Co. Ltd., New Taipei City, Taiwan, on Jan. 10, for 'switch device with welding protective plate.'
Inventor(s) include Chih Yuan Wu; and Wen Bing Hsu.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A switch device includes at least one switch module (1,1a, 1b, 1c, 10) and at least one welding protective plate (2, 2a, 2). The switch module (1,1a, 1b, 1c, 10) includes an enclosure (34, 34a) for receiving a plurality of control terminals (11,12, 101, 102) and a driving member (13, 13b, 103) therein. The control terminals (11, 12, 101, 102) respectively have an end projected from an end or a rear side of the enclosure (34, 34a). The driving member (13, 13b, 103) is controllable to change an electrically connected or disconnected state between the control terminals (11, 12, 101, 102). The welding protective plate (2, 2a, 2) is provided on the enclosure (34,34a) at the end from where the control terminals (11, 12, 101, 102) are projected. The projected control terminals (11, 12, 101, 102) further extend through the welding protective plate (2, 2a, 2) to be welded to a circuit board (5). The welding protective plate (2, 2a, 2) can withstand a high temperature and is located between the switch module (1,1a, 1b, 1c, 10) and the circuit board (5) to form a thermal insulation and protection mechanism, protecting the switch module (1,1a, 1b, 1c, 10) from external deformation and inner damage by the high temperature during welding."
