MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006202 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'swimming assistive device for pet animal.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Dinesh Arora; Dr. Parveen Singla; and Dr. Mandeep Kaur.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A swimming assistive device for pet animal comprising of body 1 constructed with inflatable members 2 to accommodate pet animal, wherein a microphone 3 for enabling concerned person to give voice commands, a weight sensor for detecting presence of animal, multiple electronic nozzles for inflating members 2 allowing body 1 to float over water surface, a pair of motorized rollers 4 configured with a pair of straps 5 installed on body 1 for wrapping straps 5 to secure animal over body 1, a camera 6 mounted on body 1 for detecting exact location of bank of water body, a set of motorized propellers rotate for aiding animal in swimming towards bank, an angle sensor fabricated on body 1 for detecting angle of body 1 and actuates multiple electronic valves for transferring helium gas between members 2 to maintain an optimum angle of body 1."
