MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117065 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'surface cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Surbhi Dhadda.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A surface cleaning device, comprising a housing 101 positioned over a ground surface, a pair of track wheels 102 to maneuver the housing 101, a rotatable camera 103 installed on the housing 101 for monitoring exact location of waste, a robotic arm 104 installed on the housing 101 and equipped with a plate 105 for collecting the waste, a multi-section chamber 106 attached on the housing 101, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 107 via a ball and socket joint 108 equipped with a brush 109 for collecting and transferring the dust on a tray 110, a dust collection module installed on the housing 101 for collecting the dust from the ground surface, a vacuum unit 111 for withdrawing the dust, a motorized slider 112 to translate the rod for providing maximum coverage of the ground surface, a water dispensing unit for washing the surface."
