MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018217 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'surface cleaning assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Gaur.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A surface cleaning assistive device comprises an elongated body 1 having proximal end 2 and distal end 3 incorporates a plate 4 configured with distal end 3 to clean a surface by means of a microfiber cloth, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on body 1 to determine waste and dirt, a speaker 6 installed over body 1 for notifications, a handle 7 crafted with proximal end 2 to move body 1, plurality of suction units 8 arranged over plate 4 to withdraw waste, a dirt sensor installed over plate 4 to monitor level of dirt, a motorized ball and socket joint 9 installed between body 1 and plate 4 for providing movement to plate 4, an electronic nozzle 10 configured with a pair of motorized sliding unit 12 arranged over plate 4 to dispense water, and a flap 13 configured with sliding unit 12 for squeezing dispensed water."
