MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010062 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'supporting device for suspending handlebar bag.'

Inventor(s) include Sushil Tripathi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A supporting device for suspending handlebar bag 5, comprising a frame 1 having a pair of plates 2 to form a L-shaped structure and positioned near a handlebar of a bicycle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 to determine dimension of handlebar, a pair of clamping units 4 integrated on top portion of frame 1 for clasping handlebar, a bag 5 arranged on frame 1 in which stuff is accommodated, a robotic arm 6 arranged on frame 1 for holding an adjustable string 7 wrapped over mouth portion of bag 5 to tighten/loosen mouth portion for securing stuffs within bag 5, a ring 8 arranged on bottom portion of bag 5 and integrated with an expandable pulley arrangement which expands/contracts for holding stuff from bottom, in case stuff corresponds to a water bottle as determined by the imaging unit 3."
