MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044336 A) filed by Exoshield, Carros, France, on May 7, for 'sunscreen formulation comprising microcapsules, and process for manufacturing such microcapsules.'
Inventor(s) include Montagnier, Bruno; Pech, Denis; Dingas, Alexandre; and Marchio, Francois.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a core-shell microcapsule comprising a core containing at least one active ingredient, and comprising a shell, said shell constituting a wall around the core and representing a mass fraction of at least 20% of the total mass of the microcapsule, said microcapsule being characterized in that the shell comprises at least one crosslinked polymer, preferably obtained by interfacial polymerization. The size of the microcapsules is preferably less than 1 m. The active ingredient can be a sunscreen."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 08, 2023, under International application No.PCT/IB2023/061260.
