MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087590 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'sun-light based food-items dehydrating device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sun-light based food-items dehydrating device, comprises of a body 1 configured into plurality of compartments 2 to allow a user to place food-items for drying, a C-shaped hook 4 to allow the user to hang body 1 on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 5 accessed by a user to initiate the device, a zipping unit 6 to the body 1, a laser sensor to detect dimension of the compartments 2, a meshed sheet 9 wrapped over primary motorized rollers 8 to cover the food-items with the sheet 9, primary motorized rollers 8 to unwrap a butter paper 11 that is gripped by robotic arms 12 to place paper 11 on the food-items to absorb moisture from the food-items, a sun sensor to detect direction of sun-light and an LDR sensor to detect intensity of light in the surrounding ad a canopy 15 to cover food-items."
