MUMBAI, India, April 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517025633 A) filed by Hager Biosciences, Llc, Bethlehem, U.S.A., on March 20, for 'substituted pyrazoles and imidazoles as orexin receptor antagonists composition, methods for treating neurological and psychiatric disorders.'

Inventor(s) include Mekonnen, Belew; and Patel, Hemantbhai.

The application for the patent was published on April 11, under issue no. 15/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to substituted Imidazole and Pyrazole ring system derivatives of compounds that are antagonists of orexin receptors, and which are useful in the treatment or prevention of neurological and psychiatric disorders and diseases in which orexin receptors are involved or implicated. This disclosure is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and the use of these compounds and compositions in the prevention or treatment of such diseases in which orexin receptors are involved."
