MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421005902 A) filed by Bhisaj Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'substantially pure ethyl 2-(5-amino-2-bromo-4-fluorophenyl) acetate and preparation thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Swapnil Panditrao Sonawane; and Nilima Swapnil Sonawane.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to substantially pure ethyl 2-(5-amino-2-bromo-4- fluorophenyl) acetate of formula (1) having undesired impurity of formula (5) less than 0.2%. The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of substantially 10 pure ethyl 2-(5-amino-2-bromo-4-fluorophenyl) acetate of formula (1) having undesired impurity of formula (5) less than 0.2%."
