Inventor(s) include Lakshman Raj R; Kalpana Devi V; Suganya. S; Sheba Yesu Priya S; Sandhya M; and Nithya M.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a postpartum support belt (100) for management and rehabilitation of diastasis recti in a user. The support belt (100) comprises a primary belt body (102) configured to be worn circumferentially around an abdominal region, and an anatomically aligned midline tension system (104) disposed on an anterior portion of the belt body (102) to overlie a linea alba region. The midline tension system (104) includes a plurality of knot-like tension elements (106) arranged along a vertical axis to apply localized, guided medial compression. One or more lateral tension straps (108) are operatively coupled to opposing lateral portions of the belt body (102) to generate adjustable tensile forces directed toward the midline. A fastening mechanism (110) secures the belt in an adjustable manner. Cooperative action of the midline tension system (104) and lateral tension straps (108) facilitates targeted muscle approximation, improves abdominal alignment, and supports functional rehabilitation during postpartum recovery."
