MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017493 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 11, 2024, for 'streamline writing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Ashmit Agarwal; Dr. Praveen Ailawalia; Dr. Naveen Mani; Praveen Tyagi; and Harshit Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A streamline writing assistive device, comprises of a flexible structure 1 developed to be engaged on a user's writing tool, the user is required to orient the structure 1 in proximity to writing tip of the tool while the user is positioning the tool over a writable surface to perform streamline writing, an angle sensor 2 to monitor angle of the writing tool with respect to the surface, a microcontroller to evaluate an appropriate angle at which tip of tool is be aligned for performing streamline writing, and a pair of laser projectors 3 installed on lateral sides of structure via a motorized ball and socket joint 4 to project a beam of laser light on lateral sides of tip in order to guide the user in performing writing."
